Whether electric lock wire can replace network cable or not?

In the construction of the access control, the line from the electric lock to the access controller looks very ordinary, but the irregular wiring can easily cause the failure phenomenon of the cause, which must be taken seriously.

Because of various electric lock working current is large (relative to the access control system of other equipment access controller, access control card reader). For example, electric lock has a certain distance. Lock line pressure drop will be larger. If the pressure drop is too large, it will cause the electric lock to move sometimes, sometimes not (for example magnetic lock sometimes has not enough suction). It is not normal to display the door switch. Even the controller will grab the current resource, so that the controller has not enough power supply, which leads to the restart or even the death machine situation.

Some engineers figure at that time the convenient wiring, or purchase convenient, use electric lock to control wire cables to cloth, is easy to cause trouble, while debugging as if there is no problem. After  a period of time, it will often appear problem.

If the length of line from the electric lock to the controller is less than 50 meters, it requires to use the sectional area of 1.0 mm 2 two core power cable, without blocking. If more than 50 meters, you need add one more two core power line, power supply in parallel. If the line more than 100 meters It is recommended to move the controller to the position of the electric lock to shorten the wiring distance.

The area of the network line is 0.2 square millimeter, which is five times smaller than our standard wire, so it is absolutely impossible, even though the controller is close to the lock. Door magnetic signal line of electric lock , can use the network line. Some people make the four strands become one strand,to supply the power to the electric lock. Although it is theoretically close to the specification , but it is not recommended that you do so. This will lead to unstable terminals and other potential pitfalls.
